Age rules and consent
The general website is not directed to children under 13, and current self-service account and payment flows are for people aged 18 or older. A person under 18 must not register independently. A parent, lawful guardian, school, or authorised institution must contact IYEC first so that a supervised program and appropriate consent process can be arranged. We do not knowingly collect online personal data from a U.S. child under 13. If we learn that a child submitted data contrary to this rule, we will restrict access and take appropriate deletion or safeguarding action.
Data minimisation
We seek only information reasonably needed for the activity. Public profiles for minors should avoid home address, school schedule, precise location, personal telephone number, identity documents, or other unnecessary sensitive details. A parent or guardian may request review or deletion, subject to legal and safety exceptions.
Adult and mentor conduct
- Use approved communication channels and include a parent, guardian, or authorised program representative where reasonably required.
- No sexual, romantic, exploitative, humiliating, threatening, or secretive communication.
- No request for private images, unnecessary identity data, gifts tied to secrecy, personal travel, or off-platform meetings without documented approval.
- Physical events require appropriate supervision, safe venues, and consent for photography or recording.
Reporting and urgent safety
Report grooming, exploitation, abuse, missing children, self-harm risk, or unsafe conduct immediately to contact@iyec.in with the subject "Urgent Child Safety". If a child faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement first. We may preserve evidence and report to competent authorities where required or reasonably necessary to protect a child.
